Our acqui-intelligence advice helps investors make informed decisions about the key people in industry– whether to back, key members of the whole and what the market and competitors say about the people, a capability analysis for investment teams. This is relevant both to initial investors but also to add-on acquisitions in portfolio businesses. Our work is integral to the investment decision (and therefore happens before an approach is made) and our recommendations support the decision to invest and how to shape the deal and retention strategy.
The outcome of an intelligence project is an acqui-intelligence report (delivered on our proprietary client platform) on the key individuals in the executive and wider team relative to the external marketplace. This is not the same as management due diligence, conducted during commercial due diligence. Conducting an insight report before approach gives a very different picture to minimise risk.
